Ram loves to point out that the 3500 is meant for serious business. Choosing the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel inline 6-cylinder engine puts 930 lb-ft of torque at your command. With a fifth wheel, it can tow 30,000 pounds. The payload rating hits 7,350 pounds, just in case you want to load a luxury SUV in there, because this truck could take it.
You might notice one big truck brand is conspicuously missing in this list. No, I didn’t forget about Toyota. But then, the Tundra 1794 Edition can only be optioned up to a little over $50,000. Sure, it’s a nice truck, but that price doesn’t come anywhere near these competitors.
The whole point of this list was to highlight the most expensive trucks on the market today. You might decide the Toyota is a better value than these other trucks, and that’s certainly your prerogative. Price alone doesn’t always make the best luxury truck.
