Porsche Cayenne Turbo

Not to be outdone by everyone else, Porsche has released a new generation of the Cayenne. The Turbo model is significantly faster, thanks to the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. Peak output comes in at 550 horsepower and 567 lb-ft of torque.

According to Porsche, the Cayenne Turbo can dash from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. Even better, if you have Performance Start, which is like launch control, the SUV does it in a super-hot 3.7 seconds. Top speed is 177 mph. So it’s definitely in the running for fastest SUV, at least for now.

Lamborghini Urus

Even though this SUV from Lamborghini hasn’t come out yet, we’re already expecting it to be one of the fastest SUVs. Of course, what else would you expect from an Italian brand with such a reputation?

Powering the Urus should be a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. Everyone’s anticipating peak output of about 650 horsepower. That’s great, but making it even more compelling is lightweighting. Thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, the Urus should have a power-to-weight ratio that will make it incredibly fast. Exactly how quick it will dash from 0 to 60 mph is anyone’s guess, as is the top speed. Many are anticipating this SUV to be faster than any production model ever made, and that’s probably a fair guess.

We should find out soon enough, Lamborghini will officially debut the Urus SUV in December. Just in time for Christmas.
