2017 Honda CR-V
It’s been a popular topic in the segment since its redesign. The 2017 CR-V reiterates its versatility and dependability once again in an all-new package. You’ll find some fantastic options in the higher end models such as active driver safety systems and nice touches of leather, all starting at around $25,000.
Two engine choices are available: either the 184-hp 2.4-liter inline-4 or the 190-hp 1.5-liter turbo. It comes with one of the best CVT transmissions on the market, and Honda’s i-VTM4 AWD system is an available option.
2017 Jeep Cherokee
The most recognized name in SUVs is Jeep, and the 2017 Cherokee hangs its hat on that. It’s built more rugged than the majority of crossovers, possibly even appealing to light off-road use. The interior can be the run-of-the-mill power options, or you can jazz it up with the decadence of the Grand Cherokee in higher trim levels like the Trailhawk.
What’s important here is the powertrain, right? The standard option is a 184-hp 2.4-liter I4, or you can upgrade to the 271-hp 3.2-liter V6. Either way, an impressive nine-speed auto transmission is standard, and AWD is an option. Base price hovers around $25,000.
2017 Audi Q7
One of the key components that makes the Q7 so grand is the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit customizable instrument cluster. That’s just the start, because the leather, power options and incredible ride quality due to air suspension are outstanding as well. The 2017 Audi Q7 appeals to a wide crowd, but select few will own it due to the $50,000 starting price tag.
Under the hood, either a 252-hp turbo I4 or a 333-hp 3.0-liter supercharged V6 are available, each paired with an eight-speed transmission and Quattro AWD.
